Continuing in the tradition of Spain’s great impressionist painters, Eustaquio Segrelles is an artist of extreme versatility. His paintings exude boldness and vibrancy in their loose yet concise brushstrokes.
Since 1957, yearly exhibitions of Segrelles’ work have been held in Spain’s most important cultural centers. Over the years, Segrelles has garnered numerous prizes and medals including: First Prize “Karman” of Seville and Gold Medal, 1974; First Prize at the Fair of Algeciras, 1975; Internatinal Prize and Gold Medal, Alicante, 1976; and the Gold Cup of Honor/International Rank of Prestigious Artist, Spain 1988.
The paintings of Eustaquio Segrelles can be found in private and public collections in Argentina, London, Scotland, Holland, Portugal, Venezuela, Paris, Japan, Mexico and the United States. His work is also represented in the permanent collections of major museums throughout Spain. His paintings are permanently represented at the Palace of the Governors and the Provincial Museum of Valencia.
Segrelles’ work focuses on a wide spectrum of themes including landscapes, portraits, peasant scenes, beach scenes and other marine compositions. His technique of bold brush strokes and vibrant light combined with his great skill with composition bring his subjects to life.
