About us

Mary Martin Gallery has long been known for its exceptional artists, personal relationships, and welcoming approach to collecting art. We are honored to continue that legacy while beginning a new chapter with a renewed team, fresh ideas, and an expanded vision for the gallery.

As artists themselves, Silvia Belviso and Dru Blair bring a firsthand understanding of the creative process and the commitment behind every work. Together with our dedicated staff, they are building upon the gallery’s history while introducing new exhibitions, educational opportunities, and meaningful ways for artists and collectors to connect.

We have had the privilege of representing many remarkable artists over the years, and those lasting relationships remain at the heart of the gallery. At the same time, we look forward to welcoming new voices and creating an evolving collection that includes original paintings, photography, pottery, and mixed media in a wide range of styles.

The Art of Illusion

We love bringing a playful sense of surprise to the gallery through Dru Blair’s illusion paintings, which invite visitors to look twice and enjoy discovering what is real, and what only appears to be.

EVENTS

We love filling the gallery with people, conversation, and creative energy. From exhibition openings and artist demonstrations, and special gatherings, our events are a chance to meet the artists, discover new work, and share an inspiring evening together. As a member of the Charleston Gallery Association, we also participate in the First Friday Art Walk each month from 5–8 PM, welcoming visitors to enjoy the gallery after hours.

ART CLASSES

Through Blair Center for the Arts, we bring classes and workshops into the gallery, creating a special place where people can learn from professional artists while surrounded by original artwork. We love sharing this creative experience and welcoming students of all levels to learn, connect, and make art with us.

Yes, that's right! Through Mary Martin Gallery and Blair Center for the Arts, we host intimate art retreats led by Dru and Silvia. With Silvia’s Italian roots guiding the way, you can experience the real, authentic Italy with us, painting, exploring, enjoying incredible food, and sharing its beauty and traditions together.
