Mary Martin welcomes you to an experience of discovering artists who have been selected because of their unique creative work in a variety of media. Martin states:
"We enjoy art of all genres; however, our desire is to feature painters and sculptors who forge new ground using their formidable talent. We are not interested in artists who seek to emulate other artists.
In addition, we are an eclectic gallery and don't wish to be branded with just one style of work. We look for originality as well as beauty. We want the eyes, heart and soul, as well as the intellect to be stimulated, soothed, and excited."
The gallery has attracted and maintained collectors for years because of the diversity of the excellent work carried and the quality of the professional artists represented.
It is worth a trip to Charleston to see the exciting art displayed at Mary Martin Gallery.
Through the ages, famous artists often say great art is whatever speaks to you.
It is whatever pleases you! Speaks to you! Means something to you! Intrigues you!
Art is one of the only things that will follow you throughout life. Every time you look at it you will remember where you were and the happiness you felt at the time of acquiring it. It represents your journey through life. We hope you enjoy the art you love.

"The collector acquires artwork that speaks to them for any of a number of reasons. I have enjoyed serving couples who must negotiate the delicate balance of which piece to acquire. Given that it is one of the few things people will purchase that will stay with them for life I have found that it is wonderful when two individuals can agree and it is wonderful when each respects the other enough to celebrate the choice of the other person."
